Montrose is a young and highly tolerant community in Houston, Texas. This little community is like San Francisco in that it is gay friendly without necessarily being dominated by gay culture. In fact, the culture of Montrose might actually be described more fittingly as very Bohemian. There are many artists who find a haven in Montrose, and the community is welcoming, making it one of the few walkable neighborhoods in Houston. There are many artists, musicians, and young people living in Montrose, but very few families with children.
